Putting Texas first and upholding the inalienable rights of Texans seems to be a bridge too far for some in the political establishment. But this disdain for the people of Texas has led some to bully and threaten signers of the Texas First pledge until they withdraw their pledge.
As Texans, we believe that a person is only as good as their word. We also are the state that defined defiance in the face of threats when our forefathers hoisted a hastily made flag emblazoned with the words “COME AND TAKE IT”.
However, it is true in every generation, that there are those in Texas whose solemn pledge means little and who, at the first sign of resistance or threat, will readily throw their pledge in the trash. Some would even disregard their pledge for money.
This is exactly what is happening right now as well-known, anti-Texas, political establishment hacks are working behind the scenes to threaten and harass candidates who signed the TNM’s TEXAS FIRST pledge.
